The WCWA reenactment season began this last weekend, and a few hardy souls from the 4th made the cross-state journey to participate.
Our correspondent informs us that President Lincoln and General Grant were in attendance and well-received by the crowds. Mr. Strand, a private with the 4th US, managed to have his image struck with both illustrious gentlemen. Captain Jones, our stalwart leader, was also seen in the company General Grant, who must surely have recognized in his subordinate a kindred spirit of honor and martial merit.
